• The new “M1” standard changes how cooling systems are tested by the manufacturer and agencies, prompting the need for the new SEER2, EER2, and HSPF2 performance metrics.
• If only efficiency changed, Split System SEER minimums basically increase by 1-point.
  Packaged system minimums did not change, but they must also use the new performance metrics.

• The new “South” line of split system condensers will be released by the end of Q3-2022 so you can start winding down inventory of current models, and order new models to stock ahead of the 2023 deadline.
• New models have also been designed to be compliant with UL 60335-2-40 HVACR Electrical Safety Standard, set to become effective 1/1/2024. 
• New Revolv “South” AC condensers can be installed in both Southeast AND Southwest DOE Regions, to minimize stocking items. 

• 14 SEER Revolv Split System Air Conditioners CANNOT be installed in the Southeast and Southwest DOE regions after 12/31/2022.
• 14 SEER Revolv Packaged Air Conditioners CANNOT be installed in the Southwest DOE region after 12/31/2022. 
• 13 SEER Revolv Split System Air Conditioners manufactured prior to 1/1/2023 can continue to be installed in the North DOE region, indefinitely.  
• Revolv Packaged and Split System Heat Pumps manufactured prior to 1/1/2023 can continue to be installed nationally, indefinitely.  
• When a condenser is installed or replaced, the entire split system must then meet the latest DOE minimum efficiency (by product style & region), while an indoor coil-only is only considered a replaceable service component.
